After a long gap of 9 months, the beautiful andaman and nicobar islands is now open for tourism. The worldwide spread of pandemic had a really lasting affect especially on the tourism sector of this amazing archipelago. The island administration on 24th November 2020, gave a green light to various water sports activities around South Andaman district following strict guidelines including Jet Ski Rides, Scuba Diving, Sea Walk, etc. Fibre boat trips to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island (Ross Island) and North Bay Island is also restarted successfully.

Andaman and Nicobar administration has opened tourist activities in the South Andaman, while North and Middle Islands are still closed for tourists. Tourism activities were stopped in the Archipelago on March 16, following the pandemic triggered nationwide lockdown. But the good news for the oncoming tourists is that the administration has given the green light for restarting tourist activities such as Ross Island, North Bay Island along with various water sport activities all around South Andaman following strict guidelines.
