The incident took place on 15th August 2017 in Fortune Resort Bay Island. The photographer who came to meet his client, who was staying there. The photographer went to reception only after security check. And also informed at the reception, about the purpose of his coming. When the client came to meet the photographer, the hotel staff interrupted. The security in-charge over there threatened and manhandled the photographer. The photographer requested not to touch him and told to wait. Seeing the situation becoming worst the client went forward to protect the self respect of a person being hurt. Andaman tourism is lagging in the point where hotel staff think hotel organisation is bigger than customer. Hotel organization is made by customer satisfaction, they must know that. Fortune resort bay island is ITC group hotel. ITC tag line is "Creating Enduring Value". Value in hotel staffs seems to be lost.Andaman's hospitality industry seem to have forgotten its basics of existence ... Here is what happened at Islands' only deemed five star hotel, Fortune Resort Bay Island, which speaks for itself .As per the mentioned instance of occurring 15 August 2017, which can be cross verified by CCTV footage, the said occurrence has caused mental agony in photographer.
According to the photographer -"The incident has caused lots of pain in me. I feel such instances are not good for hospitality sector, the polite handling of staffs and their training up has to be ensured, and corrective steps to be taken. And such instances should not happen to anyone who steps into your property also, I am looking forward to assurances from your end and this should not be repeated too."
